BHAVANA CENTER FOR LEARNING AND SPEECH
WE TEACH THE WAY THEY LEARN
About
It All Starts Here
Bhavana is started with passion to help children with learning disabilities like Speech Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Language Processing Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) etc. We extensively focus on one-to-one therapy. The therapist directly interacts with the child throughout the session.
Therapies Offered
Speech and Language Therapy
A dedicated qualified Speech Language pathologist works with each child to help the child
understand language and communicate their feelings and thoughts in the form of language.
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Therapy
Behavior analysis is a scientific approach to understand behavior and the effects of environment and surroundings on an individual's actions and skills. Therapists have been applying behavior analysis to help children with autism and related developmental learning
disorders for a very long time.
At Bhavana children are given a very focussed ABA therapy one to one sessions, which we believe are the core for all the rehabilitation for the above mentioned disabilities.
Picture Exchange Communication System
(PECS)
The Picture Exchange Communication System, or PECS, allows people with little or no communication abilities to communicate using pictures. People using PECS are taught to approach another person and give them a picture of a desired item in exchange for that item. By doing so, the person is able to initiate communication. A child or adult with autism can use PECS to communicate a request, a thought, or anything that can reasonably be displayed or symbolized on a picture card. PECS works well in the home or in the classroom.

Occupational Therapy
Children with autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have a tendency to exhibit significantly different patterns of sensory processing to their peers and to children with other special educational needs (SEN).
Occupational therapists work to promote, maintain, and develop the skills needed by students to be functional in a school setting and beyond. Active participation in life promotes:
learning
self-esteem
self-confidence
independence
social interaction
We at Bhavana offer Occupational therapy to children on a one on one basis with focus on the needs of the child.
